OUR FOUNDATION
Founded on August 17, 1873, in Washington, DC—shortly after the Emancipation Proclamation—Mount Olive Baptist Church has been a beacon of faith and hope for over 150 years. Nestled in the heart of the vibrant NOMA community, just steps from Capitol Hill, we remain committed to the timeless mission of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

WORSHIP SERVICES
Sunday School: 9:30am
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m. We offer classes for all ages, starting with two-year-olds and reaching up to seniors in their 90s. It’s a time for learning, growth, and community. No matter your age, it’s never too early or too late to deepen your faith!
Sunday Worship Service: 10:45am
Mount Olive holds its weekly worship service every Sunday, beginning with praise and worship at 10:45 a.m. The third Sunday is dedicated to youth-led worship, where all members gather in the sanctuary.
Wednesday Prayer: 6:30pm
Mount Olive gathers for Wednesday Prayer at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom, creating a space for reflection and spiritual growth. It is a time for members to come together in faith, seeking strength and guidance through prayer. Everyone is welcome to join in this midweek moment of connection and renewal. No matter where you are on your journey, prayer is always a powerful way to draw closer to God.
Wednesday Bible Study: 7:00pm
Mount Olive holds Wednesday Bible Study at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom, providing an opportunity for deeper learning and spiritual growth. It is a time for members to explore scripture, ask questions, and strengthen their faith together. Each session offers meaningful discussions that connect biblical teachings to everyday life. Everyone is welcome to join and grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
